I've seen that Motorcycle Superstore has the Alpinestar Bionic Neck Support on sale for $400 (which is comparable to the Leatt brace prices.) Does anyone have any preference to Alpinestar or Leatt? I've heard a lot of people wear Leatt but not much about the Alpinestar model.

Is there some place to try them on to see if the chest protector/helmet combo works? And does anyone recommend a particular model? Is the Adventure okay? Or is the Moto G.P.X. much better?

Ralph, you seemed pretty busy when I saw you so I looked around for Pacey a bit but couldn't find him (except on the start line - lol). I'll try to get to one of the next races a little earlier and catch one of you. Thanks again for the offer...

yeah i went to cycle gear with my leatt and tried it on with various chest protectors to see which one fit the best for me. I ended up with an evs on that fit great, seems to be the best way, trying it on with the chest protector before buying it!
